Blog no. 1 – on being green and the point.

January 16, 2007 at 3:40 pm (Depression, Relationships, Walking, Work)

Well hello. I’ve had a rubbish day today so far. Not in the grand scale of things was it rubbish. No one died, no one’s ill. I pressed my snooze button for over an hour before getting up at half eleven just cos i didn’t have a reason in particular to get up. Then once up i still didn’t see any reason to be up, ’though my gorgeous 8 month old nephew was about so he brought me some happiness.  Then i cooked a curry that made me feel sick which was disappointing. And investigated a leak in our bathroom which remains unsolved. Also had a discussion with my dad about life and what’s the point cos it’s all so disappointing and ended up feeling misunderstood and annoying.

I’m not sure i even want to be writing this because it’s not very inspiring or enlightening, but i suppose this is meant to be a form of diary keeping so i won’t go back and delete any. I’ll just continue expressing myself in this fashion no matter how boring it is. I will feel better in about an hour after i’ve been for a walk through the woods in the English wind and spittle rain. My thoughts will be clearer and more sensical once my brain’s been aired.  Basically I’m bored. I should be at work or something. I would be if it wasn’t my day off.

The green bit in the title is me deciding whether or not to join the green party. I want to but you have to pay. Why is that? Administative charges or summit?

Off to brave the English weather…

Yo Lady E, welcome to the world of the word (press).

Political parties (especially ‘alternative’ ones) are funded mostly from members and other supporters. When it’s a marginal one then they want money all the more. It’s to show your support. It also means they’ll ship loads of nonsense to you trying to persuade you to canvas for them. I have issues with the Green Party, as they are big fans of jumping on band wagons. On the other hand. The more support for those on the margins of the mainstream the more likely the parliament is to be hung.
This is what I hope for as it would open up more discussion in politics.
I’m against party politics but I encourage involvement. That’s my (over opinionated) opinion.
I hope all the woods in the world treat you well.

A friend (a rather philosophical friend) once told me some words that seem right for the present moment. I can’t remember what the exact wording was or who said it originally. Anyway, someone said: ‘It’s satisfying to sit under the shade of beautiful tress; but infinitely more so to plant them.’

    Or words to that effect.

I hope you enjoy the woods in your life.

Wow, Kermit has such a voice that makes you wanna scoop him in your arms and make him better. What a sweet song. It aint easy bein green, aint that the truth. While some people do every little thing to help the planet’s predicament there’re twice as many people messing it up again, but it doesn’t hurt to do your bit so i will continue and encourage others to do the same. It seems to me to be the most important thing to worry about. How funny that people’s priorities and principles can vary so widely. I think i will join the party of Green and support the underdogs as that is my purpose. I’m an underdog i think. I’d rather be. Anyway my lovely see you tomorrow night D D D jing! xxx

Ah, but you shall be disappointed. Alas I’m going to given it a miss as I feel rotten to the core. Some bug’s got me and I can’t really do much. But I have to go to work in order to survive. This is baaad. It’s going to be horrible. Sometimes Friday is quiet, but sometimes it’s really busy.
Anyway, I’ll be home so I’ll probably see you some time.
    Lots of love
